Usually the contests started/stopped on Fridays. I am going to try to keep it that way, although the day might change.

In any case, they aren't going to start until NEXT WEEK [week of Mar 8-14] because this Friday/Saturday I will be in Chicago and unable to start anything new at that time. I will let this week play out and see which day would be the best for starting/stopping new contests.

For this week [Feb 13 - Feb 20] I am only doing one contest to start... starting with the Vamp/Were of the Week contest. I'm going to graph the turnout and add more contests each week as the turnout gets higher.

Update:

I am thinking since the popularity is growing with the Vamp/Were contest, that next week [April 3] I will start a graphic contest. Keep your eyes peeled for some cool pictures/themes you'll want to use. I'm not going to give away what kind of graphic it will be just yet... I am going to start with broad themes [ie do whatever you want] and eventually narrow it down to more restricted themes.

Anyway, just keep your eye out!!

Update 12/08/09:

I have had a few people contact me with interest about contests. I haven't had any new contests in a while because people stopped participating. Anyway, I am thinking about giving the contests another go! It seems like a few people would be interested, and maybe everyone can spread the word.

I just wanted to ask before starting them, do you guys think there is anything that can be done to make the contests better than before? Do you have any creative ideas for new contests or new ways to improve on the old contests? Any other comments or suggestions would be great, too.

I'll be doing the new contests on Sundays. Not sure if I will start it this weekend or next weekend, but keep your eyes open!

Each contest works differently. They all have different rules and different ways of playing. The main contests that I typically run are Vampire/Werewolf of the Week, Graphic Contests, and Caption Contests. None of them are up to date right now because all contests have been on hiatus due to lack of popularity. You will see when new contests start, and I will post the rules about each one when I start them.

I started the last Vampire/Werewolf of the Week a LONG time ago [October 10] and no one entered. So I decided to just leave it up until people started showing interest again. After a few more people enter [or possibly this Sunday / next Sunday] I will send everyone a message saying to start posting, so they can get as many posts as possible in a week. I'll inform you when to start posting, and a week after that you will see the winners. But for now, you're right, nothing has been put into motion yet.
